My Dad (born 1927) had a Vincent too, and quite possibly that model. I should look in the family archives and find out. In later life he would sometimes hear a distant motorcycle approaching and say "I think that's a Vincent", and he was usually right.

Then when my parents were courting, he added a sidecar to the Vincent, and there are pictures somewhere of my mother peering nervously out from it.

Yes, spot on, my Dad did the same thing, he had a Watsonian double adult side car fitted , he also had a Panther single and side car for a while , my brother and I ,( there were four of us kids eventually, so he had to buy a car ) would be rocking around in the sidecar while my Dad was kicking it over.😃
