Lens oly 14-42

I have a question about the 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 II r. I still have the lens and it's on my om d e m 1mk1. I found that it focused "better/sharper" when I had the om d em 10 mk I. Is it possible for the same lens to behave differently on 2 diff camera bodies? Even though same manufacturer? They aren't that many years apart

could the 3rd party external grip, affect the focus as well? It has separate controls aside from the body's controls ie focus ae lock and ring dials for shutter and aperture
