He showed up in the garden, stayed for a few minutes...then left.
Fortunately, the reach and quality of this lightweight telephoto zoom were more than enough to let me do what Robert Capa recommended...namely, 'getting closer' to my subject.

Nice rabbit! I like the combo of the E-M5.3 and 75-300 very much - it's my regular walk-around birding setup. I have found that if you stop down to f7.1 or f8 the lens does get somewhat sharper, and probably worth the loss of shutter speed or the need to boost the ISO (depending on the light, of course). For example, on your shot, I think using ISO 1600 and f8 would have given you a sharper image without hurting the shutter speed. But even wide-open, the lens is very good.

Lovely shot.

I often choose medium telephotos for landscapes. I cannot recall the last time I used an UWA for any landscape shot.

Ha, well I meant to upload another one taken with the same lens, and then I realized the other photo was taken with my 40-150 f/2.8.
Here is another one I found with that same lens. That first photo was taking from one side of the Hood Canal, in Washington State, across the canal, and zoomed into the hills leading up to Mt Constance.

This photo was taken on my way down from a night shooting the Milky Way, where I stopped on the steep hill, and quickly grabbed my camera, and scrolled the f-stop all the way to f/22 without thinking. Either way, it didn't turn out too terrible for learning things the hard way.
