Taking what my be my last nest shots of the Kite chick for this season, I thought to see how slow I could go with the MC20 converter. Propped against a convenient tree I dropped the shutter speed in steps. 1/60 was marginal and 1/25 unusable. Uncropped or processed, and at a FFE of 1600mm

My first attempts with the 100-400, we are just getting to know each other.

Great tit, we now have them in droves in the garden and at the feeders in winter:
