I like macros, but not enough to keep this. I tend to use the long end of telephotos instead now.

Again, the housefly. This was handheld with the flash on the left hand and the insect on a kitchen cabinet door.

The 60mm FL provides a good distance to the subject and is good for field macro.

At 120mm equivalent, the 60/2.8 is usually too short for birds. Brooklyn seagulls don't fear humans, though. If anything, humans should fear Brooklyn seagulls, because they absolutely will not hesitate to steal your lunch.

Unfortunately, as a slight downside, the 60/2.8 produces busy, soap-bubble bokeh balls from out-of-focus point light sources.
