Micro 4/3 Olympus VF-1 finder with LX-5

Has anyone tried using the Oly finder with the LX-5 for shooting at 35mm? That's the focal length I typically shoot at and it seems like the finder options are minimal for that focal length.

I don't have either - but since you can zoom the LX-5 freely, I see no reason why you couldn't zoom it to fit the view of the VF-1 perfectly (albeit with a mild vertical parallax error).
I bet it would work a treat.

Well, I took the plunge and bought one on Ebay for $54 shipped. I'm hoping this works out well as I can't stand trying to compose street shots on the rear screen.

Travis, it will work. Kal's idea of adjusting the zoom to fit the finder is the way to go.

Yeah, I can find the right spot by adjustment, but rather than do that everytime I power on I'm hoping the 35mm that the LX5 step zoom mode uses is close enough.
