Couldn’t see a showcase thread for this new lens from OMDS, so thought I’d start one. Got my copy this morning. Can’t believe how small this thing is. Goes well on the Pen F as well as the larger EM1. Handles very well, and appears to be nice and sharp. A couple of quick and dirty snaps of my dog and a bluebell up the road, but hoping to get out and take some more over the weekend…

A few from my local country show. Loving this lens. So compact and light, and yet has all the reach and IQ that I need!

Buttery smooth and plenty of contrast. It’s a keeper.

Has anyone kept this lens long term? If so - any thoughts? I have a Panasonic 45-150 kit lens. I find it's my most used lens. Was just thinking this might be a step-up for the faster aperture at the long end and hopefully greater sharpness at 150? Also - Oly's pro lenses seem to do bokeh a bit better. On sale now at $699, but very few reviews and samples, so thinking this lens is just not that popular?

It is a super lens. Light weight, sharp across all focal lengths, compact. Not as popular as its big brother the f/2.8 version but also much less expensive and much more compact.

How long have you had yours and what did it replace? Do you use it much?

I really like this lens and had had it since it was first released. I used it over the Christmas period on our trip down to see the kids in Lethbridge paired up with the 12-45 F4 and a couple of Panasonic primes (9mm and 20mm) on my Pen-F which made for a nice small portable kit. Photos to follow in a while as other stuff to do this morning.
It certainly produces very nice images and is a whole lot lighter that the f2.8 version which I also have but do not use that much these days.

This lens is on my radar, sadly there is not a lot of info out there about it.

I'm on my second copy of the Lumix 35-100/2.8 II. Sometimes it amazes me, other times it is a let down, definitely a love-hate relationship.

Most likely I will sell it, and replace it down the road with this one. I know quite well Olympus lenses and their look, and I'm confident in advance that I will like it.
