I thought this was quite impressive, Oscar Barnack's personal 0-series Leica was for sale at the last Leitz Photographica Auction. The camera had a starting bid of €1.000.000 and was listed with an estimate of €2.000.000-3.000.000 - the hammer however fell one last time at a much higher amount, €14.400.000 was the final sum the new owner had to pay for this special unit. Next year this particular camera will be 100 years old.
