Very nice again, usayit. I just got an LX5 and am very impressed with the macro function and the dept of field achievable in that mode.
I've had to change my way of thinking with this compact though, I had been getting used to shooting with a wide open aperture with my Canon 7D and so from a composition point of view, I could focus on the subject in the foreground and the background will be blurred out (even if the subject in the foreground is not anywhere near where I'm standing). But with the LX5, obviously even with a wide aperture, the size of the sensor isn't going to lend itself to those kinds of images when it's not in macro mode. So I've had to shift my thinking, composition-wise, when taking certain shots other than landscapes.
