I agree with you, though to be fair Oly&Pany seem to have been a bit more generous in their lens lineup (fast primes) compared to some other manufacturer(s) That is, if you forgive the million 14-42 zoom lenses they have released before trying something a bit different.

Hehehe! Exactly! Just for kicks, the slow standard zoom lineup -- Pany 14-45, 14-42, 14-42x; Oly 14-42, 14-42, 14-42, 12-50.

I gotta admit the 14-42X looks pretty cool though.
