Backcountry ski is my favourite winter activity, Storm Alexa hit Lebanon past week and paved the mountains with a beautiful white mantel. i went with a couple of friends to see how it looks like up there.

Have a Look.

PS: Paula, my Xvario was up to the snowy mountains for the first time. I also shot a movie using the Vario, you can see it in the movie section of this forum.

Yes, color is terrific and you nailed exposure and white balance on every shot. Must be nice.

FWIW, I solved any and all white balance issues, by buying the M Monochrom.

Hahahah, MM is my dream, someday... Already asked santa for one.
Talking about the MM, why Leica deleted the dot with the logo from the MM ?! I would have left that dot there but in monochrome instead of red. Don't you think?

The red Dot on the camera took the place of the screw on the top plate of older cameras such as the M3, M2, and M4 that covers the RF adjustment mechanism. The M9P and M Monochrom went back to the cover screw, made it look much like the M2.
