Those great, big ears are what guarantees they always hear me before I see them. The woods around our home is full of these white-tail deer. It's rare that I go more than a week without seeing one. Of course, I'm always looking for them. But I'm shocked how often I see one 10-20 yards away frozen and staring at me, while my dog is completely oblivious.

I never tire of seeing them.
