Pentax Pentax image thread

Reading about Walter's (aka @phigmov) newly-acquired K-01 reminded me of what a great camera it is - and how I haven't been using mine, lately. So I got it out....but it's a horribly hot late summer day outside, so I found myself inside, searching for something to photograph....and when in doubt, the old photographer's stand-by, the mirror, presented itself---

I do love this K-5/100mm pairing - I seem to be getting better shots out of it than my m43 macro combos -

I'd like to think the bee in the first shot saw me and waved in the second shot

Took the K-01 & 40mm to the coast for a quick bit of shooting... ergonomics are still painful, the screen does some interesting things when previewing exposure and the fps is glacial (feels worse than my old E-P1; may need to switch to jpeg and see if its any faster). Otherwise the pics it takes are nice; Pentax should really enter the re-enter the APSC mirrorless market.

The 100 Macro is one of the lenses I just could never gel with.

I like the lens optically but the focus racking and limiter knobs are not at all intuitive. Also those lens motors are torque-y - you can feel the whole lens twist slightly in your hand when it goes for a long throw from near to far. I should track down a MF equivalent - I definitely like the 50mm f4 Super Tak macro - the 100mm equiv or slightly newer SMC would be nice.
