Yes, we were lucky that the wind was blowing left to right (as seen above) away from our house.
Sadly, the rest of the villagers were suffering for days when a different farmer was liberally applying his fields with strong-smelling stuff up-wind of them.

Ah, yes. We live in a rural area, and improving the fertility of the soil is an annual procedure that we don't really look forward to. The strong aroma only lasts for a couple of weeks though! 🤮🤮🤮
