Documentary Planet Garbage

That’s an interesting and thought-provoking approach to photography. Turning discarded waste into a subject of focus not only highlights environmental issues but also tells a raw, unfiltered story of human impact.

Have you considered incorporating these images into a series or project? Maybe contrasting the beauty of nature with the intrusion of litter? A lot of photographers use this kind of visual storytelling to bring awareness and even inspire change.
Rolf and I started this thread to put a focus on this sad part of our civilization that spoils so many beauty spots and of course also our beautiful towns, villages and their surroundings. We just wanted to show to what atrocities the throw-away-mentality and the carelessness and thoughtlessness of present-day environmental littering leads.

You're welcome to start a thread with your idea of beauty vs. intrusion or visual storytelling.

Within 50m of a brook in which five different kinds of fish try to make a living.
How people come to the idea that a kitchen-knife could be disposed here escapes my imagination.
And the foam that pollutes the brook is definitely no harmless chemical substance for living creatures.
It ought to be easy (if there was any interest from the side of the local administration) to find out who led it in.

Left on the side of the main path in Wellington Park, after making the picture I picked it up and put it in the bin 23 steps away.

1 minute later I find this one at the other end of the path. Took that one to the bin as well.

It's three months that the fiber optic cables have been installed all over town. The firm that did the job is gone. These have been left lying there next to the school building ever since.

Do you have a national app/website to notify the municipality, like we have (Fixi app)?
I've reported uncollected garbage bags and cases of fly-tipping on it.
It usually gets someone to look into it, so it does get cleared up.

Yes Rick, we do have municipal employees driving around and checking things. And in case of big disposals they check if they can find papers that identify the people responsible. Fines are pretty high in that case. But in our small town of some 30 000 inhabitants there is a good percentage of people who just don't care.
