What kind of pants youse wearing, spandex?
I carry the camera all the time in my jeans, dress pants and it fits easy.
I don't get this part of the conversation...
Having owned an S90 and now an LX5, I actually DO get this part of the conversation. I can get the LX5 in my pants pocket and its an easy carry in a coat pocket, but its sort of bulky - when its in my pants pocket, it feels kind of bulky, kind of uncomfortable. In short, I dislike enough to only carry it that way in a pinch. The S90 (and I believe the S95 is even slightly narrower) is small enough that I could actually carry it in a pocket and not notice it after a while. I never hesitated to carry it that way. I used to slip it in my jersey pocket for long bike rides and forget it was there. The added weight and bulk of the LX-5 makes THAT pretty unpleasant too, so I rigged up a tiny little handlebar case for riding with the LX5 (which is actually a good bit handier as well). Of course, on bike rides, I AM wearing spandex (or lycra, if there's a difference), but the jersey is plain old wool or some sort of non-stretch miracle fabric with decent sized rear pockets.
As you know, I much prefer the LX-5 in almost every respect and I sold my S90 after I got it. But the S90/95 IS a good deal more easily pocketable, in my experience.
