The Island - Towan Island - UK2016-65 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr
The house on Towan Island, perched 24 metres above the sea and connected to the mainland by a 30 metre suspension bridge, apparently the only privately owned suspension bridge in the UK. Today the house is a luxury bed and breakfast.
At one time the house was owned by son of Sir Oliver Joseph Lodge, the inventor of the spark plug.
