Life goes on as we wait- Le Cheylard l’Evèque - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D5-16 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr
Whilst we waited for our transport, life continued in the little of village of Le Cheylard l’Evèque (population ~ 60).
Day 5 of 12 - Le Cheylard l’Evèque to La Bastide-Puylaurent: Walking the Chemin de Stevenson (GR 70 Robert Louis Stevenson Trail) in the south of France.
I saw this parked near the highway for years before I decided to stop late one morning in June 2003 and get up close and personal (okay, I had to take a piss real bad and the huge blade on this beast hid what I was doing quite well). I saw this and just had to capture it. A few weeks later, it was gone.

Registration number? During the gold rush days in the Western Australia outback bicycles where a common means of transport. This "fine" example was seen at the Gwalia Ghost Town just out of Leonora.
We visited the town as part of our July 2019 father/son drive of the Western Australia goldfields 1,000 km Golden Quest Discovery Trail.
"We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.”
― Shel Silverstein

Rentals awaiting the hills - La Bastide-Puylaurent - - Chemin de Stevenson-2018-D5-20 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr
A nice set of Giant XCT mountain bikes available for hire or for use on group tours in the nearby hills. We came across a few groups of mountain bike riders at various times whilst completing the walk.
