Métro de Paris - PARIS-2018-65 by Andrew Priest, on Flickr
The Paris Métro (short for Métropolitain; French: Métro de Paris) is a rapid transit system in the Paris metropolitan area, France. It is the second busiest metro system in Europe, after the Moscow Metro, and the tenth-busiest in the world
For this image, I have to give credit to the folks [like you] on the forum who offer thoughtful advice. It does sink in.
When I encountered this spot, I immediately heard in my head the often-repeated reminder to 'work the scene'. My first intention had been to quickly frame the performer from the front, before the shot 'got away'. But resisting that initial impulse and circling around to let the 28mm FOV capture more interesting angles and reflections paid off, I think.
Perhaps this technique is like striving to avoid a cliche, when writing?
I actually have what I consider to be a better image, but selected this one because it was a closer match to the shot above it in the sequence.
