I'm glad we have Nikon threads and sections here at SC, and I don't mean to discourage Nikon posting here at all.

However, I do want to put in a quick word that I've been transferred ownership of Nikon Cafe and hope our Nikon shooters here will check it out if you haven't done so already!

Amin, this is quite amazing, as just recently I was wishing you owned a Nikon forum. In addition to m43, I also shoot Nikon, but haven't found a Nikon specific forum that I enjoy and frequent nearly as much as the forums you run.

I'm very excited about you taking ownership of the Nikon Cafe site, as I also belong to Nikon Cafe. For me, it's the best of the Nikon sites, with an environment similar to the sites you run, but still falls short in several areas. Hopefully, you will incorporate changes that bring it more in line with the rest of the "family".

First, and foremost, I would recommend adding the "like" and other buttons. It's a quick and effective way to acknowledge, or comment on a posted photo. This change alone will make me a much more active member, as I won't have to take the time to write out a comment each and every time. The way it stands now, I usually just don't bother commenting at all.

Good luck with the new site, Amin! Your involvement cannot help but make it a better place for Nikon shooters to frequent.

I agree with everything here and could have written that myself. For the time being just being able to access the site at the top of the page with one click is a bonus.

They had a barber shop, dentist's office, post office, shoe repair, etc also on board. A small town out at sea, involved in pitched battles and always in danger of being sunk, with several close calls for this ship...
I love those little homely touches - one forgets that combatants still need their hair cut and their teeth checked during a war. I like the idea of the post office too - "Dear mom, just a quick note as I'm currently taking part in the Battle of the Philippine Sea. The weather is good and I just had my shoes repaired."

I used to be active on that site. Haven't been there in awhile. Glad you are taking it over. Will go back and see how it is doing.

Micro-Nikkor 105/2.8 AF-D. This lens has much less CA than the newer IF version, cost much less. This lens is mint condition, bought back in Nikon D1x days.

The sensor in the Df has a very high saturation count, helps with shots like this.
