Took the "Micro-Nikkor 105/2.8 AF-D" out for a walk around the neighborhood. This lens is sharp, sharper than my friend's new AF-S 105/2.8. These day's- it is about 1/2 the price of the newer lens.

Really impressive images!

I own that lens ... time to dig it out again; but first I'll finish the monthly challenge (by using all *small* vintage Nikon AF primes ...).

Got a full day of work in - at home, on a beautiful day. So time for a walk.
If anyone is getting tired of the same blossoming trees in my Neighborhood, consider them as a lens test.

My most-used Nikon Zoom of all time is the Zoom-Nikkor 43~86/3.5. That is often regarded as Nikon's worst lens ever made.
THESE are NOT taken with that lens.

These are with the best Zoom lens that Nikon ever made, the "Micro-Nikkor-Zoom 70~180/4.5~5.6 AF-D". I need to shoot a closeup of the plaque on the lens to get the whole name. Too much typing.

On the Df, wide-open. All hand-held, this lens is easy to get a grip on. Has a built-in tripod socket.
