I was reading an article about changing the Q menu and actually got started, but in the process I seemed to have completely lost the macro function. It's no longer with the other function buttons. In fact, all of those seem to be changed as well. How do I get my macro function back on the camera?

Depends on the camera, most newer models don't feature a macro function, freeing up this Fn button. Older models tend to have a fixed macro button (no Q menu).
