Micro 4/3 Quick . . . the sky is on fire

Waaaay out west . . . western New York State, that is, my sister-in-law was opening the living room drapes, when the spotter-in-chief (aka better half), practically shouts, "Quick, look at that sky! Get your camera!"

I'm lolling in a recliner, in my jammies, "Hurry up!" she says as I struggle to pull myself to a full, upright position.

So I go rattling outside in my "night wear" to find this:

Just minutes later, it was completely gone.

These are both really nice. The first one gives a better view of the full breadth of the fiery sky, but the truck in the second image adds life and relatability.

Yeah, that's usually the way it goes - gone in a moment. I can't tell you how many gorgeous potential shots I've seen of the Manahattan skyline late in the afternoon with the golden sunlight dancing on the skyscrapers -- while stuck in a bus with dirty windows on the helix leading to the Lincoln Tunnel.
