It's about as much as I paid for the D750 & 24-120mm last Christmas...
Can't justify an upgrade this soon :-D
the lens is surely much better than the 24-120mm (I'd miss the long end though... 70mm is too short for me in a convenience zoom)

I've done the size comparisons with of the Z6 with the XH1, which I actually own. The XH1 with the 18-55 is a bit heavier than the Z6 and th 24-70. OTOH, I currently own the XH1. I can get the new Fuji 16-80 for $800 and never really notice the IQ difference. The Z system is really short on lenses right now and the primes are large and heavy. I suspect the the party lens makers will quickly remedy this.

There's also an argument to be made to double down on DSLRs and DSLR lenses right now - if you're happy with the technology and want to spend less money...

I just ordered a used Nikon 85mm 1.8G for ~300USD (plus taxes)...
I'm not a portrait photographer (so far) - but at that price I'm happy to experiment... :)
