Ricoh Ricoh GXR + 28mm module

Took it out for a short walk afterwork and actually enjoyed using it. The body/lens is a fantastic combo. Just the UI and interface leaves a lot to be desired. I think it works best when you just shoot and try to avoid the adjustments you'd make when shooting something with a more competently designed interface (almost any other camera). I kind of like the way these turned out. Almost like a film camera from the late 80's or early 90's.

Love all that.

The reappearance of this thread is making me want to take the GXR 28 out again. Coincidentally, I picked up the GXR with 50 today for the first time in many months. On Steve Huff's blog, the singer Seal once commented that he could shoot with the GXT 50 and 28, and the Leica M7 Titanium for the rest of his life, or something to that effect. Even when I loved taking the GXR out in the early-mid 2010s, there was sometimes the quirk of small buffer and slow shot to shot time, as well as the slowish autofocus. But the files are still magical.

If you've got the kit, definitely get out there and use it :)
I love the case, shape, glass (I only have the 28mm, would love the 50 but its pricey!) - just the UI sucksssss.

Got the infamous 'dust in the lensor' problem so haven't shot this much at all. Charged it up and gave it a brief run. I don't think you can see it unless you're shooting skies or light block-colours. Its just annoying its there if you go looking for it.
