Sigh,
We have lost another one....
I had only last month stumbled across the website The Literate Lens. An article from PetaPixel about photo printing linked to an excellent treatise of the printing process on the Literate Lens. Continued spelunking around the site led me to the front page and the horrible news that the founder of site, Sarah Coleman, had succumbed to lung cancer in early December.
To add insult to injury, the site has already disappeared. Thank goodness for the Wayback Machine.
Coming a year after losing Tim Vanderweert (Leicaphilia) this is simply tragic to lose two extremely well crafted authors of photography in such a short time.
Hopefully (?) whoever is handling Ms. Coleman's estate will see fit to get the website back up, but I'm not overly optimistic.
