Fuji Showcase Rokinon 85mm f/1.4

This lens is also marketed under the Samyang moniker. They are the same company. When shooting full frame my favorite FOV is 135mm for portraits. This led me to look into the XF90 that Fuji just came out with. However, while reading various articles, etc., I noticed the Samyang/Rokinon 85mm getting high praise and figured l'd see if this would work for me for 1/4 of the price. I ordered the Rokinon from B&H for about $250 and it arrived at my door two days later.

I find this lens to be extremely capable. Super sharp at f/4.0 and a bokeh monster. Using the electronic shutter on my X-T1 I've gotten some amazing bokeh wide open in bright daylight. The focus point can be moved around, unlike older vintage manual lenses. The only thing lacking is just AF. It's extremely easy and quick to manually focus with this lens. The grip feels great and not too stiff or loose.
