Went out for a drive in the country today, into areas that just a couple of years ago I'd be riding my bike. Now my rides are a lot shorter, no idea if I'll ever regularly want to do those 50-75 mile rides again that it took to get out into these areas. But its still out there, even if I have to drive to it now. The RX1 is wonderful for this type of shooting, but I can't say the gap is really all that noticeable from any of my other cameras except at real crazy pixel peeping levels. Probably could have gotten shots what would have displayed just as well on my 27" monitor and printed just as well at my standard 12"x18" from my X-Pro, OMD, and even LX7 is nice light like this. The RX1's real strengths are in more challenging conditions where the files are simply amazing. But its not like there's a DOWNSIDE to using this nice a camera in good light! It may not be necessary for good results, but nobody's getting hurt here...
