What year were these taken?
Those look great, Tim.
The scanning is spot-on.FM2n , HP5
An example: rescued from a 6x4" print after the negative was unrecoverable. Twinky ("Heywood Onyx", fifth generation of my own breeding line) from a long time ago ...Those look great, Tim.
Always remember that if you haven't got the neg/positive, you can always scan a print.
I recently dragged out an envelope of negs, only to find that the emulsion had separated from the backing carrier. Got a decent scan from the 6x4" print.
Good one! The representation of the tones on the hand signifies how film blends light and colour, making it one of the reasons why I shot film for a while before going digital. It's really different when the light captured goes straight to a recording medium. An example: rescued from a 6x4" print after the negative was unrecoverable. Thanks, Timo. I probably should have cleaned the print more carefully, but it still demonstrates the process. That photo was taken in 1987, so nearly 35 years ago.Good one! Timo, thanks for your post. Always good to know that the scans turned out well. Hope my developing goes equally well. The scanning is spot-on.
What surprises me is how the HP5 in RawTherapee looks almost exactly like this, especially in the second photo.
