Leica Showcase Schneider Xenon 50/2.8 with Leica M8

Raid

All-Pro
I took some photos yesterday at Destin Beach, Florida. I used the M8 with a custom adapted Schneider Xenon 50mm 2.8. The results are low contrast, so I added some contrast to each image.

That is a one-of-a-kind lens, looked like a custom barrel. Never seen another like it. My 50/2.0 Xenon on the IIIc matches my Collapsible Summicron. Love the color from them- these shots bring it out. Remember- low contrast on digital means preserving shadows!

I need to make one for myself... I have the Xenar-Special (5-element), and a 50/2.8 Xenon glass from a dead Retina IIc...

I agree with you, Brian. The low contrast really is helpful for further adjustments with LR or PS. It was a lucky find, followed by another lucky find for the second lens that was used to complete the first lens, and of course, your assistance was crucial here in putting together everything.
