Nikkor 135mm F2.8 AI-S

This monument was installed as a memorial to those lost in the first world war.
It was designed by an Italian, Mario Rutelli and constructed in 1923.
It depicts the winged "Victory" at the top symbolically holding a laurel halo over the figure at the base, representing 'Humanity'.
At the time it was considered a bit raunchy, as the buxom nude at the base was a bit of a shock.
Sadly, I seem to have missed an opportunity to capture the raunchy bit, though I have obtained a glimpse in my Xpan photo.

I feel a revisit to Aberystwyth is called for.
