The statue is called “Dignity” and the artist used 4 different Native American women to model it. So it doesn’t represent a specific person, but essentially represents the entire Sioux Nation.

Veljmies (eng. brother) on the market square of Kuopio in front of market hall. 175 years present from the entrepreneurs to the city of Kuopio, Finland. Statue made by Heikki Konttinen 1959.
In the other end of the hall is Siskotyttö (eng. sister) which I forgot to photograph 🙄
Well, next time then. I believe I visit Kuopio more now when daughter started studies there.

It's normal when you live in a city with tourist spots that you attempt a different take on the picture postcard photos being taken by those same tourists, right? Well these photos are me in the middle of trying to do that in London's Trafalgar Square.
