Matt, just checked my Birds app and I still think they are Jackdaws!
... And I just checked Google Images and think you're right. So my English needs polishing brushing up, maybe ... Oh, yes, it does! My bad, had the word down wrongly. I would have identified the bird as what is indeed a jackdaw, had I not confused "jackdaw" with "magpie" Thanks for helping me clear that up. We learn from our mistakes :)

Matt, that’s one of the reasons I bought the bird app because I was making too many mistakes!
There is very little chance of mis-identifying a Magpie
Your English is pretty good, much better than my German or French!

A few weeks ago I was out on a rainy evening walking my dog. I looked up, under my hood to see where I was going and was amazed to see that when looking through the wet, bare winter branches of a tree towards a streetlight the branches appeared to form a spiral. All of the branches curved down, like tree branches tend to do, yet it looked round like a web.

Anyway, on the next rainy evening I pocketed my Canon G9X to try and capture what I saw.
Here's the best I could do...
