In my opinion, it's the position of the fork on the extreme left corner that gives the image a sense of depth. I made a few more frames, and this one immediately struck me as a ''poppy'' one.
Another example from the same position that (in my view) doesn't have a 3d effect.

I see plenty of pop effect in this one too. Sharp definition of the scoop, deep DOF giving full definition to the background machinery too.
