These are Red Efts, the larval stage of the Red Spotted Newt. The adults are aquatic, but the juveniles are terrestrial until they reach maturity. As an adult, the spots will remain but the bodies will be olive brown. I have found the adult in the wild, but these are the first two juveniles I have found. I am quite pleased, as they were on my woodland bucket list.

I managed to drag the dodgy hip through the woods today, rewarded with some lovely bluebells. I took loads of shots with my Minox 35GT, but these are a couple I took on my P20 Pro.
