School bus
A double decker crossing Bowcombe Creek on New Bridge which was built in 1845 and now carries the A379 Kingsbridge to Dartmouth road. The larger, lower buttress to the rear of the bus supported a swing bridge when initially built to enable sailing ships and barges to reach mills and limekilns further upstream. It used to be supported on a large stone ball to enable it to turn. On the highest spring tides the water level reaches the top of the arches
Had to crop this somewhat heavily - had to take a grab shot because things were moving very quickly.

Still shaking my head at the two guys standing there patiently waiting out the blow-out ... right below the line of the blast. They've even taken off their helmets!
