Stroll Seen while strolling...walking and wandering outside

A long stroll through the local (southern Oregon) mountains ... which turned into a rather grueling hike.
And at moments, the hiker (photographer) needed to rest his feet.

Damn, Don! what a beautiful photograph. There is a subtlety to all those grays, and to the composition itself. I keep looking at it....it's really a fine image.

My question is, who is counting?

Indeed. I believe in France you have to get a daily permit which the police will check (and presumably mark to show they’ve checked it), but in the UK there is absolutely no way of checking. Where I live, anyway, I could go for a walk several times a day and never encounter anyone.
