I was chasing that sunset ... but once I had reached a point where the power lines weren't encroaching on the image any more, the light had dropped, the magic gone ...
I continually marvel at not only the light (and shadows) in your photographs, Christie - but the subtle, evocative way in which you process them. This one in particular really enthralls me with its mood, its sense of place, its shadows, and its storytelling: I feel like I am being afforded a glimpse into something familiar but also slightly magical.
Wandering around my small town, passing numerous cars parked on the street, on an overcast day threatening rain. And then, suddenly, I saw an elephant.

As a minor side note: I keep being surprised by how good the Fuji 35mm lens is. I am a relative latecomer to the universe of Fuji glass but their optical engineers really know their stuff.
