Stroll Seen while strolling...walking and wandering outside

Starting to green up a bit as March arrives. March is an ornery month here. We'll get 3rd winter before you know it.

Out on a walk, work related task, and I chanced upon some pictures opportunity:

If it doesn't work on the first sign, put a longer one on top of the first one.

So wide I forgot my finger in the frame.

So apparently simple...
But such a great image.
Really nice, Walter.
Mark Berkery got me on this trail. In his notes to his stunning macro photos (Macro Illustrated) he said that for him taking photos is meditation. And I realized: wow, that's it. It's like Zen, only that you're not sitting. But Zen is also practiced in walking, of course.
I always saw taking shots more in the psychological way: being in the flow. Which is so important for our health, especially that of our mind. With Mark I realized that it's more than flow, it's forgetting that small *I, Me-Me-Me* that wants to be blown up so big, and being ONE with ALL instead for a short time. That's what I feel when I'm taking shots like these. Forgetting the rustle and bustle of the world for a while and just BE.

Cornwall Park. Had to have the dog on lead, but had left it too late to go over the Clive, as the traffic builds up and comes to a standstill, with only two routes currently between Napier and Hastings, and one of them is over a one way bridge, because of cyclone Gabrielle damage. Lots of the Regional parks are still closed, because of unstable trees, floodwater and silt.

It was a bright sunny day, with dense shade from trees - makes this a little difficult to look at I think.
