Seneca Creek in the highlands of WV is a 4 hour drive from my home in the western foothills, and the few photos I've seen of it were enough for me to make it a priority visit on my yearly Autumn hiking/biking schedule. The sunrise on Spruce Mountain, brilliant foliage in the high meadows, and scenery in the valley made the trip worthwhile. There was a stark contrast between the upper leg of my hike along Allegheny Mountain Trail, where I saw not a single person for 6+ miles, and the Seneca Creek valley, which was almost bustling on a gorgeous last Saturday of Summer 2017. Campers, hikers, fishermen, and even equestrians were enjoying the valley trail despite its remoteness. Combination of X30 and X-T1 + 23mm WR pics.
