Sony Serious problem with purchase in China

Hello

I'm a newbie and only received my RX100 this morning.

My daughter bought it in Shenzhen on my behalf and the seller assured her the menu could be set to English but I've no idea how to do this or whether and how I can download and install English firmware.

Some of the settings are displayed in English but the basic menu is in Chines.

Anybody who can suggest a solution with be greatly revered.

You may be able to download the english manual and it might show you the steps to change the language in there? that way you just follow where it's highlighted and you won't need to read the Chinese.

Not sure if it till work but it's an idea?

Never use RX100 in my life before. But this link provide how you change the language setting on the menu Sony DSC-RX100 Cyber-Shot User Guide.

If still unsure, you could post shots of the menu and I'll help to translate it for you.

I followed your suggestions and I managed to get it set to English - I was getting really worried and am now very relieved.
