Balconies specifically are usually an interesting feature of many buildings, especially in urban areas, but in the name of inclusion, let's add the humble porch or the decks, as in, usually open-air areas that are part of one's domicile. I think it is worth a thread of it's own as many of these are very interesting in design and use.
