Thanks for the kind words everyone... yes, it's been pretty fun trying to push the X10 into territory it perhaps wasn't intended for. I still love my D800 and D3, but when the job doesn't require a super shallow DOF or large output resolution, I'm more than happy using my X10 for work. I imagine I will be even happier when my X100s arrives next week.

Instead of hi-jacking Taz's thread further, I've just decided to start a new one to post my fashion portraiture, I hope you enjoy:

Both versions are wonderful, but the b&w really captures one's eye. I look forward to using the NIK suite as well, thanks to the free update from Google. Very well done.

A few snaps taken with a single Lupolight (with a cloudy texture) against a simple white wall corner (XF 1.4/35)...

Very simple setup, it looks like this (caution: no beautiful women in this illustration):

Another single Lupolight shot, mixed with natural light from a window (on a dull day), shot with the XF 1.4/35...

And a single flash against the white wall, shot with the Voigtländer 1.8/75mm M-Mount lens and widely overexposed at ISO 1600:

These are all OOC JPEGs with just minor PP in Aperture.
