One would soon become a 'dead end kid' sitting on that seat John!
It is an older camera, but kinda like us older folks, the "Canon Color" shines through.

Canon color is something special that I cannot duplicate with my Oly cameras and lenses, though I do try. There is a warmth that is rather like that of the old Kodak Kodachrome slide film. I still have my Canon 5d3 that I can't part with, along with a stable of lenses. I like to use it for summer flower images, just for the special effects it brings.Yes I loved the Canon 40D, I got better results from it then my Canon 5D. But then came Sony
I saw a 5DII going for one hundred pounds at the weekend. I don't need it but boy, I thought about it and it was those colours you describe (that plus the thought of a used FF camera for that price being nothing but a pipe dream not so long ago).Canon color is something special that I cannot duplicate with my Oly cameras and lenses, though I do try. My Oly cameras are generally set LSF (always), WB auto, Sharpness +1, Contrast +1, Saturation 0, Gradation normal. I will sometimes set different settings when shooting B+W images as needed.John, do you use LSF JPEG?
Also, what are your other settings for WB, saturation, etc?
