Sort of like the Stones - lots of people don't particularly like them but to deny their greatness and influence over time would just be silly

1981. Their last GREAT album may have been '73, but we're talking Stones great, which is pretty great. I thought Some Girls and Tattoo You were damn good albums (although in a very different style than the classic Beggars Banquet - Exile stuff) and Emotional Rescue sounds pretty good these days too. After Tattoo You, though, one or two good new songs was about all you could hope for. But, hey, they're STILL damn good live and they're REALLY old guys. I don't think Sinatra was as good at 70!
