Another excellent ride of 33 miles this morning. I also got to use the canister with the red bugle on it when I came out of the forest where the trail passed through a tiny rural community. A mid-size dog was right in the middle of the trail, and refused to budge, instead acting mildly aggressive. I reached down and pressed the plunger, releasing a piercing shriek from the air horn. The dog jumped up in the air and ran down to one of the yards below the trail, where it could yap at me from a safer distance. Trouble is, I had a ringing in my ears for about 5 minutes after that. That thing is loud!

We found this bicycle a couple of clicks from home at the side of of one of the backroads outside of town. We were on a trip out to photograph some horses and foals for one of Sues friends. On the way back we stopped for a photo op. The bike has solar lights all around it so I think a nighttime visit will be in order soon.

I sort of went overboard this morning. 48 miles total, a new personal best for this trail. By the time I drove the hour to my house, the bottle of Motrin was calling my name.
