This guy overtook me on the cycle path.

We were cycling in the Gloucestershire countryside last week and after some miles, decided to stop for a picnic.
I leant my bike up against this "phone box" while I ate my lunch and only when I went to retrieve my bike did I notice that the "phone" box was now being used to house a defibrillator, like so many others these days.
However, this box had a bonus as I noticed a giant sized puncture repair kit inside.
I was intrigued so popped inside and had a peek in the repair kit.
I was surprised to find a full-sized track pump, a couple of new inner tubes and a small repair kit too.
It would seem some friendly locals were sponsoring the box, and it was actually on the route of National Cycle Route 410.
Thankfully, we'd just safely descended the steep hill, so didn't require either the kit or the defibrillator. ;)

Sadly that would last half a minute here before being stolen and / or vandalised. True.

I'm glad to see you're spending your retirement wisely Tony. (y)
And on cold, wet days you've got your wonderful woodwork to fall back on.
Brian, I will certainly be getting a lot of shop time this winter, but I've been known to go riding in cold weather. I sold the bike that is in the following link, but my current dual sport hybrid is very similar in frame type and tire size. Show "Bicycle"

My wife and I were cycling in Gloucestershire, parked our bikes by the church in Lechlade, had our picnic and wandered around and the village.
When we returned, we saw this young lady cyclist alongside our bikes.
We got chatting and the chap in the photo is her father, who is the verger for 23 churches in the area.
Someone had decided upon a sponsored bike ride visiting all of the 23 and this lady was halfway around the circuit.
As she went to set off, her chain kept jumping off the chainring until I offered my services to adjust the front derailleur.
As it happened our return route coincided with hers and she passed us a few times after popping into each church.
I'm happy to report that my fettling was deemed a success, when she later thanked me for sorting her gears out.
