They look very cute but they are quite barbaric! The reason for their name 'Butcher Bird'
comes from their habit of spiking their victims on sharp items like thorns etc, and then
coming back for their meal at a later stage... grizzly!

Good Morning,
This mornings' kayak trip paid off in spades; I spotted the Bald Eagle that has been seen in the area. Tracked it and when I came from behind a set of Hemlocks, it sprung into the air. I had the camera set to C-AF, Silent Low(10FPS), and used the 3X3 grid. I will be going through the files and posting some others later on. Next time I will bring the M. Zuiko 300mm f4; the Lumix 100-300mm f4-f5.6 II did a respectable job though, so no complaints. It had zero trouble locking and stayed up with the burst. Any misfocus will be my error, not the gear. Oh, and there were a few Great Blue Herons too...
, saving those for later.
