A Blue Heron at the Bay City State Park today during a side trip on my way back to Traverse City from Ann Arbor. I wish I would have had a little more time today because the lagoon there is rich with all kinds of birds. The trails around it are easily walked and devoid of bicycle traffic.

[Just to confuse things even more there is, apparently, a Western Yellow Robin also!]
Of course this is at Bottom Earth where things happen differently!

A bee teases a kingfisher...
This kingsfisher this morning was a poser. Typically I will see one in the distance and just about the time I am inside 150 yards they will spot me and exit stage left. This one allowed me to get within 50 feet today which resulted in my best Kingfisher shots to date!
