I was surprised and happy that I got the perfect wing span before landing.

I was surprised that I got the Swallow in flight at 75mm, though I did have the ASP-C Crop on making the smallest AF point larger.

While shooting the swallows this morning I noticed a bird in the distance on top of a bare tree. I thought it was an Eagle as they are plentiful in the area I was shooting., but it seemed a bit different. I was surprised to zoom in and see an Osprey surveying the pickings below. I've only seen an Osprey a couple of times and only been able to grab one other shot from a distance in flight awhile back that wasn't too good.

This shot this morning was a good distance and a fair crop away, but I was happy to get an Osprey image that was at least positively identifiable. I'll be headed back to this spot more this summer when I have some free time.
